Model history The Porsche 911 S with a short wheelbase (SWB) is now considered one of the most sought-after models in the early 911 series. The model was first introduced in 1966 as the sportiest variant with a 2.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine tuned to 160 hp, alloy wheels, and improved brakes and chassis components. The 1968 version was the last model year with the short wheelbase of 2,211 mm before Porsche switched to the longer wheelbase in 1969. The vehicles from this transitional period combine classic design with sporty DNA and are extremely sought-after today due to their limited production numbers.

What sets this car apart.
- 01The Porsche 911 S was first introduced in the 1967 model year with an increased output of 160 hp. This was achieved by installing larger valves and a larger carburetor, as well as increasing the compression ratio. Improved brakes and shock absorbers, as well as the iconic "Fuchs" alloy wheels, were also introduced on the 911 S.
- 02The 911 S with a carburetor (like this model) was only available until the 1968 model year.
- 03A few months after the introduction of the 911 S, Porsche extended the wheelbase of the 911. As a result, the 911 S was only built as a "short wheelbase" model for a very short time – it marks the most original performance version of the 911 and, with its lively 2.0-liter carburetor engine, conveys the 911 driving experience in its purest form.
- 04This 911 S SWB was delivered in the coveted Irish Green color and still has matching numbers today – making it an excellent restoration project with all the basics for a highly sought-after model.
- 05First registered in Germany, the car was then in Switzerland for some time. The car has been with its current owner for around 20 years.
