Exterior color/paint/rust: The classic sports car presents itself completely in white, which gives the Mercedes 190 SL a special character. The body was extensively restored and the car was then repainted, so there is only minor damage from stone chips. Some new components were installed on the body without making any modifications, and the classic trim strips also contribute to the overall historical impression that can be seen in the attached pictures.

Exterior Rims/Brakes/Chassis: Typical steel rims with wheel covers are installed on the Mercedes Benz 190 SL, which were painted in body color during the restoration. Rims and chrome rings are in good condition and underline the high authenticity of the vehicle, as do the Michelin tires in whitewall look. The brakes are fully functional, as well as the chassis, which has been preserved in its original condition and whose components have been regularly serviced and wear parts replaced, can be described as very well maintained.

Interior: The interior of this sporty vehicle is dominated by elegant black leather seats with retrofitted seat heating. The same materials were used on the trim as in the refurbishment of the furniture. In addition, floor mats were laid out in the footwell, which, like the entire interior, are in good condition. The classic look is enhanced by the dashboard and the original spoke sports steering wheel with steering wheel rim, which shine in the same white as the exterior paint and, in combination with the black gauges and the dark soft top, blend very harmoniously into the overall picture. A special feature of the vehicle is that in addition to the classic Becker-Mexico radio, another audio device with navigation function was installed in the glove compartment, which can be controlled separately.

Mileage and instruments: The classic W 121 B II Mercedes has covered 31,898 kilometers in its long history, as can be read from the five-digit speedometer disc. The functionality of all instruments, gauges and controls was meticulously checked and no signs of failure or limitations were noted.

Engine: The vehicle is equipped with a four-cylinder gasoline engine from the M 121 series, which generates 105 hp from a displacement of 1.9 liters. In conjunction with the fully synchronized four-speed transmission, the Mercedes Benz 190 SL accelerates from 0 to 100 in just over 14 seconds and can reach a top speed of 173 kilometers per hour. As part of the September 2021 appraisal, the engine, technology and driving characteristics were examined and no defects were found apart from a slight loss of oil. Last year, at a cost of just under 3,000€, the head gaskets were renewed.

Underbody: The underbody of the Mercedes Benz 190 SL was included in the restoration work and, among other things, treated with structural compound and transparent protective wax. It continues to present itself in a well-kept condition, with traces of corrosion only visible on the lateral edges.
