The extensively redesigned car featured, among other things, a one-piece panoramic windshield, and the body had grown in all directions, now also featuring a continuous rear bumper. The engine remained a 3.4-liter inline-six; later in production, a 3.8-liter inline-six was also available. By the end of production in 1961, a total of just under 9,400 XK 150s had been built—this model was eventually replaced by the Jaguar E-Type.
