N°02 — The Story

A vehicle with provenance.

Condition

This Jaguar XK 120 FHC presents in good overall condition and has benefited from partial restoration work. The bodywork retains its elegant classic appearance, with the iconic XK silhouette beautifully complemented by the Silver Grey finish and Red leather interior.

Mechanical attention has been carried out, including servicing of the engine, while the braking system has been renewed. The underbody remains rust-free and structurally sound, with no welding repairs visible.

The vehicle shows some minor cosmetic imperfections consistent with its age, including localized paint marks and signs of use, but overall retains the authentic charm and character expected from an early Jaguar sports coupé.

Story

The Jaguar XK 120 was introduced in 1948 and immediately established Jaguar as a world-class sports car manufacturer. Named after its ability to reach approximately 120 mph, it became one of the fastest production cars of its time and gained international recognition for its combination of performance, beauty, and refinement.

The Fixed Head Coupé (FHC) version was introduced in 1951, offering improved comfort and aerodynamic efficiency while maintaining the sporting DNA of the XK series. The elegant coupé body, luxurious interior, and advanced twin-overhead-cam engine made it a favorite among enthusiasts and celebrities of the era.

Production ended in 1954 with the introduction of the XK 140, making the final XK 120 examples particularly desirable among collectors today. The XK 120 remains a symbol of Jaguar’s golden age and one of the most iconic British sports cars ever produced.
